1964 Pontiac Parisienne Custom Sport HT

409 4 speed

2door hard top. Documented 409 340hp 4speed. 1 of 15 built. PS, PB, PA, Tilt, factory tachometer, beautiful original black interior.

This car is receiving a full restoration for Allan from Toronto !

Body is going to be completely refinished in the original Satin Silver...inside and out.

Here are a couple of the many "sub-assemblies" that have been being prepared in advance for this project. These items, after they are completed, are packaged and set aside until required.

Various views of the prepared rear axle housing after the fabrication and instalation of the 2nd ( left side ) upper control arm. Tremendous effort was put into making this "modification" in order for it to have the factory built appearance. The extreme horsepower and especially torque that is produced by a performance prepared 409 engine makes this necessary. It is all too common for the rear axle housing to bend in the middle if traction is anything more than completely inadequate !

This is the fully restored 1964 3.55:1 posi-traction "pumpkin" assembly. The natural cast housing, black pinion yoke, grey oxide pinion nut and yellow and green inspection paint is how ALL Canadian built 1962, 1963 and 1964 rears were finished. The non-posi version doesn't have the green on it. On the right is the factory standard transmission bell crank mount which has been reinforced as per the GM recall for all the 1963 and 1964 Chevrolet and Canadian Pontiac 4 speed cars.

Here is the complete original frame rolled out from under the 1964 Canadian Pontiac body. Those of you who are familiar with the X frame 1959-1964 Chevy Impalas, Belairs, ect, will see clearly that this is the same chassis ! Frame and components will be indivually painted / plated in correct colours, including the medium grey Canadian Delco shock absorbers !

On the left... the disassembled frame on it's way to get sand blasted. Here is the body stripped to bare metal. This car is EXTREMELY solid with no floor rust at all !
